Throwplace.com

While it's not my normal day to post, I ran across a really neat website today and wanted to share it before I completely forgot about it.

Throwplace.com® is a Web site where global registered users may list goods they wish to give away to others. Charities, Businesses or Individuals registered with Throwplace.com® are able to search the site and make requests for items of interest. Items listed on Throwplace are NOT for sale—they are listed for give-away.

So it's sort of like a global version of Freecycle. I like that you can take an item that's being offered in another state, as long as the owner is willing to ship it. And you can also donate directly to charities like a battered women's shelter that may be looking for clothing or toys.

There isn't a lot listed right now as the site is relatively new, but the more people share this, the more users they'll get.
