Fair Trade Chocolate Syrup
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Fair Trade cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup Fair Trade sugar
- A pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon Fair Trade vanilla extract
Directions:
- Stir all of the ingredients together in a sauce pan.
- Boil 3-5 minutes, stirring constantly, until sauce begins to thicken.
- Let cool.
- Use in place of chocolate syrup in recipes.
- Store in the fridge.
I love to use this in shakes, chocolate milk, and my homemade fraps. It's very simple and affordable. What will you use it in?

How long would this keep in the fridge? It's basically a sugar syrup, so probably a long time, right?
